Who is Eden Florida?

eden-florida3.pngEden Florida was founded in 1996 to address the state’s growing need for individualized specialized services for children and adults with autism and their families. Following the model of Eden’s lifespan programming in New Jersey, Eden Florida’s services range from comprehensive outreach, including program consultations and early intervention, to 12-month education for school age students and residential and employment services for adults. With locations in Naples, Bonita Springs, Ft. Services:

Eden Educational Services (Ages 4-22)

Eden Florida has full accreditation from the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance (NPSAA) to serve children and adults with autism from PK to 12. All Students receive instruction in a Low student teacher ratios ranging from 1:1 to 6:1 to accommodate children’s specific needs. Eden Florida's school is located in Naples, Florida. All Teaching techniques are based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and key components are a low student/teacher ratio and an individualized, assessment-based curriculum tailored to students; needs and abilities.

 

Early Intervention (Ages 3 and under)

This program offers in-home and/or Clinic Based Behavioral Therapy utilizing the techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Trained Eden Therapists provide 1:1 therapy that encompasses a range of skills to meet the individualized needs of infants and toddlers with autism. Areas of teaching include social and play skills, self care and classroom readiness.

 

Clinic Services (All Ages)

Eden Florida offer behavior therapy through Clinic Services on an hourly basis to meet the supplemental needs of children and families. Services are clinic-based, in-home or in-community settings as appropriate. Children may be enrolled for services as soon as the first risk signs appear (often before age two) They may receive anywhere from one hour up to 20 hours per week of intensive one-to-open instruction. Programming is individualized to meet the needs of each child and may include the following skill areas: communication speech and language, academics, play/social skills, self-help and daily living skills.

 

Adult Residential

In fulfillment of Eden’s mission to provide quality life-span services. Spanbaurer House (Naples) our first adult services program, was opened in 2006: to date Eden has added two residential group homes in Cape Coral. Year-round community-based residential programming and employment services are now available to adults with autism.

 

Employment Services

Employment opportunities include Adult Day Training Facility at McBride Center in Ft. Myers, which utilizes secure, center based work for supported and competitive employment. The center offers sub-contracted work and other avenues for structured employment.
